Sentry security officer of the year
At the start of every new year, Sentry Security selects the Security Officer of the Year. To be nominated for this award, one must either win Security Officer of the Month. The nominees for Security Officer of the year were: Milton Stennis (Mark Twain Hotel), Earlean Strother (Cathedral Towers), Joe Cardoza, (Busch Stadium), Clarence Holmes (Busch Stadium), Todd Forester (Rover), Jim Pool (Sportservice), Bill Collier (Sportservice), Beatrice Proctor (Sportservice), David Macharia (Rover), David Vaughn (Cardinal Rigali Center), and Edwin Connor (Metal Container). Congratulations to Earlean Strother. Earlean was recently selected as the Sentry Security Officer of the year for 2005. Earlean started with Sentry in June of 2002, and started working at Cathedral Towers in January of 2003. In September of 2003, she was made the Assistant Post Commander, and in October of 2004, she was promoted to Post Commander of Cathedral Towers. She is an outstanding officer who treats everyone with respect, and courtesy. Earlean always wears her uniform with great pride, and demands the same from the officers who report to her at Catherdral Towers. Congratulations Earlean on a job well done!

It’s tax time
With your paycheck today, you should find your 2005 W2 form. Please examine it carefully, to ensure all the information is correct, especially the social security number. If anyone needs assistance filing their taxes, see our tax expert, Bob Gremminger, and he will be happy to assist you. Bob can file your taxes for you, and he won’t charge you nearly as much as a lot of the H&R Block or Rapid Refund offices will. Stop in and see Bob, and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

What do you mean, “Check in?”
Everyone knows to clock-in and out on T-Traccs, but did you know you should be checking in once an hour? While on duty, you are required to call the T-Traccs number, 314-867-4645, once at hour, and select option “4” to “Check In.” This sends the office a signal letting us know everything is alright at your post. Checking In can save officers from disciplinary actions. If an officer is accused of sleeping on post, his job can be saved if our system shows him Checking In as required. So do yourself a favor, and if you are not checking in, please begin to do so.

Security officer of the month
The December Security Officer of the month is Edwin Connor. Officer Connor is the Post Commander at the Metal Container Corporation in Arnold. He does a lot of the scheduling for his post on his own, fills in when needed, and rarely misses any work. He started working for Sentry in August of 2000, and has always been a dedicated and professional officer. Congratulations Officer Connor on an excellent job.

Three guys get to heaven, Bob, Larry and Bill, and before they enter, St. Peter warns them, “Whatever you do, don’t ever, ever, step on a duck. Once one quacks, they all do, and they make a terrible racket.” Bob enters heaven and immediately steps on a duck. So an angel comes up to him and chains a large hairy ugly woman to him for eternity, and says, “I told you not to step on a duck.” The next week Larry steps on a duck. An angel comes to him and chains a very ugly woman to him for eternity and says, “I told you not to step on a duck.” Bill hadn’t stepped on a duck since he had gotten into heaven, then one day an angel comes up to him and chains a beautiful supermodel to him. He asked her why she was there and she turned to him and said, “I don’t know what you did, but I stepped on a duck.”
